What did i do already on CachyOS ?

First off all i have to say, I'm absolutely surprised by the smoothness and ease installing CachyOS has given me, i cant say other then Outstanding !!

 So what have i done and achieved so far:

1. Modified my Kde plasma desktop (not ready yet)
   Fun is, on Ubuntu Gnome it took me quite some time to figure out how with the support of several YouTube video's, and now it only took me about 15 minutes.
   Fact is, I'm not happy yet, so there's still enough to tweak and figure out to become fully satisfied with my desktop.
   
   
2. installed Nano (just a personal preference to start with)
3. installed Spotify
4. installed LibreOffice
5. installed Borg & Vorta and made my first successful backup on a 2TB USB stick 
   
   EDIT: after a reboot Vorta gave me an error that the seed phrase wasn't remembered anymore.
   After checking i discovered that the fault had nothing to do with Vorta at all, the USB stick was the culprit causing the error.
   FIX: i resized my HDD, took 20GB and partitioned it to be the backup drive, backup runs smooth again 😍
   
   My actual plan to backup to my external HDD on SMB didn't work as Vorta can't write directly to a SMB location.
   It seems to be possible by first mounting the drive / folder, but it's solved so i dont need a external space anymore to store backups.
   
   
6. installed Flatpak because i couldn't find Whatsapp on pacman
   (No you wont get my number 😂😂)
7. configured Numlock to be on after starting.
   The option in settings is great but it didn't work for me (yes i save the setting)
   the Arch Wiki Activating numlock on bootup contained the propper solution.

  

Before switching to CachyOS i had quite few doubts
Dumping a good working system
Doing a complete setup again
Not sure if everything would work
But now that i actually made the switch from Ubuntu to CachyOS I'm absolutely happy with it.
Of coarse in time i probably will stumble upon some bumps in the road, but those can be fixed with some love and effort.
There's quite a big community to ask for and to give support to get things working the way they should 💕
